Community+ Student Government Constitution
In its attempt to empower students with knowledge about their civic duties, legal rights, and to hone their leadership skills, END+ drafted a constitution for the student government at Adarsh Sikrai Government Upper Primary School. The creation of this constitution was designed to foster personal and community growth, emphasizing democratic principles and ensuring equal opportunities for youth.
The initiative also sought to instill a sense of responsibility among students, encouraging active participation in governance systems and reinforcing the importance of democratic engagement. By providing students with the tools to understand and practice governance, the constitution serves as a stepping stone towards building leadership capabilities and a sense of civic responsibility.
Learning+ Library
END+ undertook an initiative to curate a collection of politics-themed books and resources for the students at the Adarsh Sikrai Government Upper Primary School. As part of this effort, END+ organized a school-supply donation drive, collecting textbooks, activity books, storybooks, stationery, and educational resources, including materials focused on human anatomy. These contributions were subsequently donated to the school’s library.
A dedicated Politics Section was established within the library to encourage students to engage with and actively participate in community affairs. The collection includes notable works such as The Constitution of India by P.M. Bakshi, which offers a comprehensive understanding of the country's legal framework, and Why Nations Fail by Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson, which explores the roots of power, prosperity, and poverty.
Additionally, copies of the original Change+ storybooks were donated to further enrich the library's resources. This contribution aims to foster a deeper understanding of political systems among students and inspire informed civic participation.
